Hi Rosa try carrot streachs also. I found it on the net. My horse has a short stride. Stiff in her back and sore in her hide quarter. I am seeing improvement. His back might be out.

Good advise on exercise, I have just purchased a gorgeous boy who doesn't like his left hind leg picked up, he pulls away & looses balance, I have contacted his previous owner & this something he used to do until they started these exercises, so now I'll continue the good work & hopefully he won't pull away now.

Thank you for freely sharing your knowledge. I have been given a horse after mine dear friend of 11 years died. He had been standing for 3 years without work and probably attention. He seems to really have some big problems. His left front leg Is very sore especially when walking on hard ground. When turning he give short little paces and cannot turn freely. When I work him in the lunge he doesn't seem too sore on the other side. The farrier is at the moment thinking it might be his feet so he is trying to rectify that. I know it is actually impossible to give me any advice but I am goign to do your execises for his back do you have any magic advice for his neck and muscles over the back. I do not and will not give up on my new friend. Please help!
