A healthy treat for horses is sunflower seeds - not the ones that have the shells taken off. I read about this in Horse Journal. Horses can digest the shells and it's a great source of fiber for them. So giving them a small handfull at a time (don't just pour in a whole bag!) is a healthy treat. I tried it today with my horse Romeo and he LOVED it!

I have a mare who loves red licorice and Pepsi. I can't leave any near her in the field or it's gone before I get back!!!! Try working on a fence and snacking on that - it doesn't work, she's all over you trying to get it.
