I have had AQHA horses for about 20 years. Why don't they just disqualify all horses with the genotype. This would eliminate the problem in one generation.
i found your artical very interesting, i have a 1 month old paint colt, who was born about 3 weeks early. he has a raspy rattle in his throat at times,his lungs sounded clear. his potasium level was elevated,my question is is hypp commen in new foals? i am giving him 1 acetazolamide twice daily. is this enough? i am also bottle feeding this colt. please help!!!
