I just wanted to say thank you for that article. My dad gave me a horse for Christmas and I have been reading books on the "how to's." It has been stated that horses do not need to be fed "moldy hay." The last time I went to see Gypsy-my new addition to the family-I noticed that the hay she (and the other horses) were eating had white mold all through it-it had rained the previously. It kinda scared me. I brought it to the attention of my dad and he said "they won't eat anything that will hurt them." Do I need to be worried and when I finally get her to my house have her checked out by a Vet? Again, I'm glad a "happened" upon your article.

My comment is actually about hay cubes - are there any cons to feeding cubes rather than hay? What should you look for when feeding cubes?
