A Bit About Teeth

I have a quick question, I have a 3 yr old TN walker, and I noticed today that one of his lateral teeth is missing. Will it grow back if so how long will it take, and How can I tell the difference between the tooth being knocked out, broken or if it was just his time to lose it? He is a gelding by the way ,if that matters!THANKS

This is a question. I am about to purchase a 2 yr old horse with about a 1/4" over bite. When he was still is his dams womb, the dam was given drugs to abort the foal. It didn't work though as you see. When he was younger he had about a 1/2" over bite. The owner says that he should grow into it and it seems that way. When he eats, he eats with his mouth open and some food sometimes falls out but he eventually eats it all. It didn't seem to bother him when he had a bit in his mouth. I just wanna know what your concerns on it would be. Thanks for your help. Tiffany
