I'm curious, came across the term, "vinegar roan" in my reading. I'm curious if this is a real color, or just a variation of "red roan."

The palomino roan on the site is really a red or chestnut roan with much more white in his coat than normal.

I have a grey QH "Sheba" that I'm having problems figuring out what color she is. I've been told she might be a grey roan, dapple grey or even a silver roan. I looked at all your samples on here & didn't see any that looked even close to her coloring. I'd never even heard of the silver roan til earlier today & needless to say, there's no mention on here about one either. Problem is she'll be getting her coggins soon & I really need to figure this out so we can get it right. Can someone help me please? Thanks, Rita PS. I do have pics of her (Sheba) on my homepage at: http://www.myspace.com/rskelso

Hi, im Dawn.I know quite bit about horse colours myself! But, there is one thing i would like to point out. A 'bay roan' IS a red roan! I know, it's crazy, but every single horse magazine and book i have got says that bay roan is properly called red roan. A strawberry roan is chestnut or brown roan. A blue roan is a black roan. I've never heard of palomino roan before...to the publisher of this website: please make sure that what you print here is fact, and not something that you have simply assumed or heard from someone. thankyou, from Dawn.

I ride a Red Roan, Quarter Horse, Stallion. Hes fun, and 1 of the most smoothest horses I've ever rode. Its like he has 2 personalitys, an ego mean horse, then once you put the saddle and bridal on him he goes right to work, and is one of the best horses in the world!!!!!

I like your site. My father bought me a strawberry roan Missouri Foxtrotter mare for my 12th birthday & now I'm 34. Unfortunately, I can't be with her right now since she's in IL & I'm in WA. If you'd like to see her my webpage is http://angelfire.com/rebellion/wildfire68. thank you, Christine
