This article was very helpful and very well written. There wasn't any major information missing and it even gave me an idea of something new to offer at my own boarding facility.

The place that I boarded my horse was filthy, smelly, LOTS of flys, NO grass in the pasture(because the pasture was the manure pile), and it took more than an hour to catch my horse because of other tempermental horses. Thx for the tips next time I will go by those rules instead

I have a small veggie garden and would love to find someone that boards horses and would have horse manure they want to dispose of. I live in Suwanee, Ga. near Cumming, GA.

This article explains board pretty well, but I would like to know something about "training board". How does it work if I cannot ride my horse for a few days or if the horse needs more schooling? I realize that it probably depends on the particular situation, but does the barn manager usually arrange for training or do you contract with someone outside?
