Kentucky Horseshoeing School
Kentucky Horseshoeing School The farrier’s job, like so many others in the horse industry, cannot be duplicated by a machine. It requires a trained eye and a knowledgeable hand to perform the skills brought about by rapidly advancing technology. The importance of well-trained farriers is unquestionable given the value of today’s performance horses. The farrier-like the trainer, owner, veterinarian and rider-is a vital member of the equine athlete’s management team. The Kentucky Horseshoeing School is committed to advancing the farrier’s craft and the heritage it was built upon. Our goal is to educate our students to be the very best entry-level farriers in the country.

Equine Career Education from the University of Montana Western
710 S. Atlantic Street
Dillon, Montana 59725
University of Montana Western Horses are your passion. The University of Montana Western can turn your bond with horses into a rewarding and successful career. We offer the nation’s only four-year natural horsemanship degree as well as several other two- and four-year equine degrees. Our students study in intensive classes designed to provide genuine, real-world learning opportunities. We are the only public university in the country to implement a block scheduling system in which students take a single class at a time. This program is a perfect fit for equine students, who are able to focus and dedicate the time they need to working with horses. Our students also have access to the Montana Center for Horsemanship, a brand new facility featuring a full-size outdoor arena and individual horse boarding. We also offer intercollegiate athletics in rodeo and equestrian. And all of this in legendary southwest Montana, a wide-open land rich in equine tradition.
